Sunday, October 14, 1:00pm, Mason, Ohio, The Wild Bird Center and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Present: Raptors! Birds of Prey - Have you ever seen the world's heaviest bald eagle up close? How about a bird that is completely silent in flight? Or stood nose to beak with a bird that can fly up to 150 mph in a vertical dive, or one that has the best eyesight in the entire world? Join the Cincinnati Zoo's Avian Behavior Specialist, Kevin Kellner, once again for an in-store presentation on "Raptors! Birds of Prey". Kevin will be bringing several different raptors along for this approximately 90 minute presentation. Presented at the Wild Bird Center at Mason; Free to the public.

Upper Midwestern U.S.:

Saturday/Sunday, October 13-14, Bozeman, Montana, Bridger Raptor Festival - A Migration Celebration - this annual festival is held in and around Bozeman, Montana. If you are anywhere in the area, this event is not to be missed!

Saturday, October 20, Two Rivers, WI, Owlfest - An annual celebration of the migration of the saw-whet owl, see these tiny owls as they are banded and released as part of the Woodland Dunes research program, small fee charged

September 21-23, Monterey Bay Birding Festival, Watsonville, CA, Paiaro Valley's 3rd Annual Monterey Valley Birding Festival featuring field trips for adults, children and beginners, including additional excursions to the Big Sur Ornithology Lab and guided outings to see the endangered California Condor.
